Roller Coaster Day: Sleepless Nights, Crushing Endings, and New Beginnings

Today was nothing short of a roller coaster ride.

Last night, I went to bed around 1 AM with a slight stomachache that decided to turn into a full-blown disaster. I couldn’t sleep the entire night. Around 6 in the morning, I finally caved in and went to my mom for help—thankfully, a few medicines later, the pain eased, and I caught some sleep around 8 AM. I woke up at noon and rushed through my entire morning routine: brushing, showering, workout, promotion—everything in fast forward.

Despite the rough start, I managed to squeeze in about two hours of studying (not my usual four, but hey, considering the circumstances, I’ll take it). Then I allowed myself some time to binge-watch my current favorite series.

In the middle of all this, a playful (and slightly reckless) idea popped into my head:

"Why not text my crush?"

Now, let me give you some background—I've liked this guy for seven years. Yes, you heard that right. And yes, he once brutally rejected me, so much so that I was sick for three days afterward. But still, some feelings lingered. So today, I thought, "Let’s just see."

Spoiler: It went exactly how you’d imagine.

He replied with "yeah," "yeah," and—guess what—another "yeah."

Eventually, he admitted he "couldn’t find any topic to talk about."

I ended the conversation by telling him I wasn’t here to force anything.

Funny thing? I didn’t feel hurt.

Maybe he was never really a "crush." Maybe it was just years of habit and obsession.

Whatever it was, it's over now. And honestly, it feels freeing.

Later in the evening, I continued reading Atomic Habits (truly obsessed with this book now!) and wrote my novel.

Now, after this emotional roller coaster of a day, I’m off to sleep—grateful, wiser, and a little lighter.

Signing off,

Ready for a fresh chapter! See you next time!
